The Italian Hall has been a fixture in Port Alberni for a long time. A redonkulously long time. In fact, the first event ever held here was a grog-filled booze-up celebrating Captain George Vancouver’s 46th voyage. {Okay, that’s fake news but we can’t be bothered to look up the actual construction date of the building.}

The takeaway message here is that we’ve been around a while.

And we know how to put on memorable and magical events in our two complementary spaces: upstairs we have The Ballroom and downstairs there’s The Bistro. Have you ever seen The Ballroom? Of course you have. Anyone who lives in The Alberni Valley has been to The Italian Hall at one point or another. Maybe you snuck into a concert here when you were just a nipper. Maybe you and your spouse were joined in holy deadlock within our walls. Maybe you’ve made like Picasso at one of our frequent Paint Nites. Or perhaps you’ve done your civic duty and donated a couple of quarts at one of our Blood Banks. The Italian Hall is an institution; it continues to be THE  place to hold an event in our community. This is partly due to our establishment’s rich history, and partly because – unlike other venues of our size – we have two full bars. Mmmmm…alcohol. {P.S. Don’t drink and drive. You might spill some.}

Also: parking. We’ve got lots of it.

Oh, and listen, if you ask nicely and bring us chocolate, we might just rent you some of our things for off-site events. So keep that in mind. And finally: is your event associated with a worthwhile cause like a charity? If so, we’ll probably give you a deal. Especially if you’re trying to help the animals. Or the children. Or the environment. Really, we just want to help make the world a better place.
